Preview the Power of One at the Community Arts Center

I’m excited to share with you a preview of Power of One: Preventing Suicide in America at the Community Arts Center this September.
This film is very personal for me, as I know it is for many of you. Too many of us have lost friends and loved ones to suicide. I believe suicide is preventable. But to help prevent it, we have to talk about it. That’s why we are holding this event in conjunction with National Suicide Prevention Awareness Week.
The goal of this Preview is to show you short vignettes of the stories we’ve captured thus far. Several local residents and Pennsylvania natives are participating in Power of One, and their stories — ranging from the long term affects of suicide on families, to lived experience of overcoming depression and suicidal ideation — are powerful beyond measure.

PROGRAM DETAILS
In addition to sharing these stories, I will outline my direction for this film, its mission and approach. And most importantly, discuss the resources that are available to all of us in the Williamsport area.
We’re kicking off the event with an Opening Reception at 6pm, featuring a few of your favorite Tag’s dishes, served hors d’oeuvres-style.
This event is free and open to the public; donations to the film are welcome and tax-deductible.
